We are looking to hire

I started the Chester Beer Company as a social enterprise. One of our main aims is to find and hire people who want to work and live in Chester.

We pay well. Everyone who completes training will have the opportunity to join on a full time contract with a wage rate of at least the Real Living Wage (that's a minimum of £9.50 an hour as of 2021). If you want to work part time, that's okay too but what I want you to know is that if you join me you can get a full time contract paying enough to live in Chester.

And you can progress too. If you want to, we want you to develop your skills so you can work across our business as we grow it together. We will promote from within. So if you want to progress the opportunity will be there for you. We will also pay for you to train for your current role and other roles in the business so you'll have a range of skills that you can use to earn a good living in a wonderful city. And I hope that you'll stay with us.

We are interested to hear from a range of people. Practical skills and a good pleasant attitude are highly valued. You don't have to have experience. You do have to be honest, willing to muck in and work hard, and to be nice to people.

I would also be keen to hear from people that aspire to be entrepreneurs and those who have tried working for themselves before but now want regular paid work before trying again.
